TEGUCIGALPA, HONDURAS – April 28, 2025 – The U.S. Minority Chamber of Commerce announces its first American education event in the Americas and the Caribbean, launching in Tegucigalpa, Honduras on June 7-8, 2025. The event will be held at the organization’s convention center in the Honduran capital.

This initiative aligns with President Trump’s mission to promote legal opportunities for Hondurans, whether for study or work purposes. “We call on educational institutions in my country, the United States, to take advantage of the large number of young people who wish to study and train under the American model. As President of the Chamber, we wish to guarantee that our permanent offices in the country will serve as operations centers for any educational institution,” states Doug Mayorga, CEO and founder of the Chamber, which has been promoting business, educational, humanitarian, and collaborative culture in the region for 25 years.

About the Event

The education fair is targeted at universities, colleges, vocational and language schools, as well as academies specializing in arts, aviation, and technology. The two-day event expects to attract more than 1,000 participants.

A second event has been scheduled for July 18-19 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
