Music artist Kevin Meyer, known for his collaborations with MTV and Billboard artists such as Machine Gun Kelly, G Eazy, All Time Low, Mod Sun, Yellowcard, The Used, and others, has announced his return to the music scene after an involuntary hiatus due to mental health struggles.
Meyer’s hiatus began in 2020, when he struggled with suicidal tendencies and eventually attempted to take his own life. He took a step back from the music industry to focus on his mental health and wellbeing.
During his time away, Meyer began writing new material that reflected his struggles and journey towards healing. The result is his upcoming releases, “Detached” and “To Hell and Back”, which offer a raw and honest look into his experiences.
“Detached” is a hauntingly beautiful track that explores the feeling of detachment from oneself and others, while “To Hell and Back” is a powerful anthem about resilience and the ability to overcome even the darkest moments.
Meyer’s upcoming releases, “Detached” and “To Hell and Back”, offer a raw and honest look into his experiences and are set to release soon. These releases not only include hope and his story in his lyrics but also through SPPBKM, a company that was founded by Meyer.
SPPBKM, which stands for Suicide Prevention Presented by Kevin Meyer, is a company that aims to promote mental health awareness and prevent suicide. In partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing suicide and providing support to those affected by suicide, Meyer’s mission is to help others through his upcoming music releases and by involving other new mental health advocates on sppbkm.com.
Meyer hopes that his music will not only be a source of comfort and inspiration for those who are struggling, but also raise awareness about the importance of mental health and destigmatizing mental illness.
“Let’s Spread Suicide Awareness Like its Violence,” said Meyer. “He want to let people know that they’re not alone and that there’s always hope, even in the darkest moments.”
