On October 15, 2024, for the first time in Azerbaijan, the “COP29 Human Capital Forum” will be held under the theme “Green Human Resources for a Sustainable Future,” to be organized by the Azerbaijan HR Institute in partnership with UN Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, with over 15,000 companies and 5,000 participants from more than 160 countries.
With the participation of esteemed HR leaders, industry experts, and sustainability advocates, COP29 Human Capital Forum aims to foster collaboration and innovation in the realm of human capital management. The forum is dedicated to exploring the vital role of human resources in achieving sustainability goals, emphasizing the importance of building a sustainable workforce, engaging employees in corporate sustainability initiatives, and adopting innovative HR practices for climate resilience.
The forum is aligned with the third national priority of “Competitive Human Capital and Modern Innovations” as outlined in the “Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development” plan, approved by President Ilham Aliyev on February 2, 2021.
