Demo Day Event of C24 Students Held at Holberton School Azerbaijan

Holberton School is an international programming school founded in Silicon Valley in 2015. With its innovative approach to education, Holberton has expanded to more than 20 countries around the world, including the USA, France, Canada, Tunisia, Colombia, Italy, Albania, Georgia, and Azerbaijan. The school stands out by offering a unique educational model that departs from traditional systems. Instead of conventional lectures, students learn through peer-to-peer learning and project-based teaching methods. This approach equips students with the necessary technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to tackle real-world challenges using technology.

Holberton School Azerbaijan is an integral part of this global network. As a branch of Holberton, it offers high-level programming education to students in Azerbaijan. The school focuses on developing students’ skills in various programming languages and technologies, preparing them to become capable software engineers. Unlike traditional schools, Holberton employs a hands-on approach, where students work on practical projects in teams. These projects are presented publicly during Demo Day events, held monthly, where students showcase their skills and the results of their work.

C24 Group Projects

On April 15, 2025, Holberton School Azerbaijan hosted its Demo Day event, where students from the C24 cohort presented their projects. Five teams showcased their work, each focusing on a unique and innovative solution to a different real-world problem.

  1. A Project Digitizing Healthcare Access
    This team developed a platform that centralizes information about doctors working in various regions across Azerbaijan. The platform allows users to search for doctors by name, specialty, hospital, and available times, providing an easier and faster way to schedule appointments. By digitizing healthcare information, this project aims to streamline the process of finding and consulting with healthcare professionals, improving access to medical services for citizens in remote areas.
  2. A New Digital Platform for Gamers
    The second team focused on creating a digital platform designed for gamers. The platform offers a variety of interactive gaming experiences, providing users with easy access to games and related content. The project aims to merge entertainment and technology, creating a user-friendly environment where gamers can quickly find and enjoy engaging content. By offering a diverse range of games, the platform also seeks to enhance the gaming experience for users of all ages.
  3. Virtual Career Advisor for Job Seekers
    The third project aimed at helping job seekers navigate the job market more efficiently. This platform acts as a virtual career advisor, providing users with tools to create and refine their CVs, prepare for interviews, select career paths, and write motivational letters. The platform also offers personalized advice for individuals just starting their careers or looking to make a career change. This project is particularly beneficial for those who may not have access to professional career counseling services.
  4. Platform for the Protection and Adoption of Street Animals
    This socially conscious project was developed to address the issue of stray animals. The platform connects users with lost or abandoned animals and facilitates their adoption. The team designed the platform to help people find lost pets, report stray animals, and connect with potential adopters. The project also allows users to share information about lost pets through announcements, promoting community awareness and encouraging responsible pet ownership.
  5. Football Field Reservation System
    The final project focused on providing an easy-to-use system for booking football fields. The platform allows users to search for available football fields within their city, choose a time that suits them, and make reservations and payments online. This system is designed for individuals and teams who want to play football but may have difficulty finding available fields or coordinating schedules. By simplifying the process, this project makes it easier for football enthusiasts to access playing facilities, making sports more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

The C24 group projects presented by Holberton School Azerbaijan’s students highlighted the diverse and innovative ways that programming skills can be applied to solve both technical and social problems. These projects demonstrate that technology is not just about coding; it can also be a powerful tool for improving people’s lives, whether by increasing access to healthcare, making entertainment more accessible, helping job seekers, protecting animals, or encouraging physical activity.
