MicroBT company unveiled its WhatsMiner (www.whatsminer.com) range of air-cooling, hydro-cooling, and immersion-cooling models during the Bitcoin2024 conference in Nashville, the United States, on July 26, 2024.
During the conference, Dr. Zuoxing Yang, the founder and CEO of MicroBT delivered an address to announce innovations and technology for green mining, as well as WhatsMiner new models. In a landmark development, green mining has emerged as the future trend, with solar mining poised to be a big innovation, according to Dr. Yang. He believes that the estimated electricity fee for solar power mining is anticipated to decrease to approximately 4 cents USD per kWh by 2026, signifying the elimination of the primary impediment to the solar power mining industry in that year. MicroBT’s solar mining technology continues to undergo significant advancements, ensuring miner frequency is increasingly optimized to adjust according to solar energy, which includes the successful piloting of a 100 kW project. He emphasized that WhatsMiner solar mining container system is expected to be launched soon and invited industry partners to join in the quest for solar-powered mining excellence.
It is well known that WhatsMiner hydro-cooling miner stands out for its remarkably high outlet water temperature. Dr. Yang announced that high outlet water temperature can now reach up to 80℃(176℉), which stands far ahead in the industry. WhatsMiner hydro-cooling miner boasts a wider ambient temperature range and a higher outlet water temperature, and can offer the flexibility to choose either a reduced cooling source solution for mining or to utilize its heat output in various comprehensive heat utilization scenarios, such as agricultural heating, home and regional heating, power grid balancing and so on. In terms of heat utilization, MicroBT possesses sufficient competitiveness, occupying a dominant position in green mining.
Subsequently, Dr. Yang unveiled the latest generation of WhatsMiner new products which are air-cooling M60S+, hydro-cooling M63S+ and M64, and immersion-cooling M66S+. In regards to the WhatsMiner air-cooling M60S+, it boasts hashrate of up to 210 TH/s, with the power efficiency of 17 J/T. WhatsMiner hydro-cooling M63S+, boasts hashrate of up to 450 TH/s, with power efficiency of 17 J/T, with outlet water temperature can reach up to 70℃(158℉). With hashrate up to 206 TH/s and power efficiency ratio of 19.9 J/T, WhatsMiner M64 is another new hydro-cooling model, with outlet water temperature, reaching up to 80℃(176℉). WhatsMiner immersion-cooling M66S+, it boasts hashrate of up to 318 TH/s, with the power efficiency of 17 J/T.
Finally, Dr. Yang promised to the audience and the market for upcoming new products and solutions in the Spring of 2025.
After Dr. Yang’s keynote, Wright Wang, the Sales & Marketing Director of MicroBT joined the panel with Ghazaleh Barman from Riot Platforms and Niek Beudeker from Peak Mining (part of Northern Data Group) to talk about collaboration from manufacturing to mining. Wang noted that Riot boasts the world’s largest immersion-cooling deployment, while Northern Data will also have a super-scale hydro-cooling deployment. MicroBT is extremely honored that these large-scale deployments are almost entirely powered by WhatsMiner, which means customers’ choice speaks volumes. MicroBT will continue to offer more reliable and better support in WhatsMiner immersion-cooling and hydro-cooling solutions, as always, to build a greener and better mining ecosystem.
